This site is called “New Sphere” and is a private camp site located in Edgecomb, Maine oustide just minutes from Wiscasset, Damariscotta and Boothbay Harbor. It is designed for the intermediate and expert campers with tents, small campers, or other alternative camping lifestyles. It is the first site on your left as you enter the long driveway to Freedom Farm.
We don’t offer the conventional water, electric, or sewer but there is a compost outhouse on site. New Sphere is very private, with only the occasional vehicle coming by.
Immerse yourself in peace, quiet, spaciousness and stillness to fill your cup and revitalize your energy.
Your site is a short hike away from beautiful and quiet lake front views, where you’re welcome to swim, kayak or set up a picnic for the day and just soak in the energy of quiet and calming waters.

New Sphere is a private, quiet campsite located in Edgecomb, Maine.

The site is large enough for a large tent, truck/SUV tent, small camper, or small RV (up to 20 feet.)

The site includes a sun shade, picnic table, 2 adirondack chairs, a fire pit and solar string lights.

Feel free to arrange the site to your desired layout (minus the sun shade...she stays.)

This site is perfect for the seasoned campers who want peace, quiet, rest and restoration.

Visible from the campground and well-lit at night is the dry outhouse.

The outhouse features a compost toilet where you can comfortable go #1 or #2.

Don't worry, no one will see you doing your business! It's a very private road with neighbors going by maybe once or twice a day.

The outhouse is always clean and well-stocked for your comfort and convenience.

Forget something? Enjoy complimentary pain reliever, anti-itch cream, hand sanitizer, female products, wipes, and more.

A short stroll down the drive is private access to Lily Pond – a lake-sized pond for swimming, fishing, or non-motored boating, kayaking , etc.

Be warned, it is a downhill walk but we're happy to pick you up and take you there and back!

The driveway headed to New Sphere.

Just down the road you will find Sunset Hill Farm, where fresh baked goods, farm fresh eggs, and other goodies are available for purchase.

The beautiful and serene Singing Meadow Preserve is flourishing with song birds and other wildlife for a serene nature walk just minutes from your site.

Feel free to park at Signing Meadows Preserve to enjoy a lovely sunset.

More views of the preserve! Doesn't do it justice, though.

Set down on the bench and listen to the songs of wildlife.

On your way to the site is The Eddy – a gorgeous naturescape buzzing with water fowl and other marsh life.

On the other side of The Eddy is the bay – very fragrant with sea mist.

Just minutes from New Sphere is famed Red Eats in Wiscasset, known for their ginormous, succulent lobster rolls recommended by Guy Fieri.

Wouldn't be a Maine vacation without a beach trip! The white sands of public Pemaquid Beach is only a 25 minute drive.

Walk the streets and grab a bite to eat in downtoan Damariscotta on the Damariscotta river. Enjoy coffee shops, the original Reny's Maine department store, shops, and so much more.
